Using Gmail Connector you will be able to access all of your customer and prospect information, including records related to them. This integration will allow you to keep up with your current conversations, increase response time and create records in Salesforce, all from your email account.Gmail Connector allows you to attach an email or event to your calendar directly in Salesforce. You can create leads and contacts from your inbox and calendar. You can also use your SF email templates to streamline your responses. Additionally, this integration can be used from both the Gmail browser application and the Salesforce Mobile app. The latter will allow you to call your contacts directly from your cell phone.To get this integration you can follow these steps:
- Enter the Chrome web store, search and install the Salesforce Lightning for Gmail extension. To check if the extension has been added. Enter the Chrome Extensions option or your current browser and search for “Salesforce Lightning for Gmail”.
- .If you are an administrator you will need to login to Salesforce and go to Settings, type the option “email to Salesforce” in the quick search. Then select this option and activate it. If you do not have permissions, ask your administrator.
- From settings you must find and enable the option “Gmail intregation and lightning sync”.
- We are almost done, now we must verify from settings if the “enhanced email” option is enabled.
- Finally, go to your Gmail account, refresh the page, and verify that the Salesforce login option is on the right side of the page.
